Coconuts are a multipurpose fruit that can be used for almost every need imaginable. Learn the benefits of every part of the refreshing fruit, and stock up your kitchen with fresh coconuts today!

1. The Flesh: Food, Milk, and Flour

Coconuts can be eaten either raw or cooked, and are rich in vitamins, minerals, and powerful antioxidants. Freshly grated coconuts can be easily added to your favorite recipes like Coconut Shrimp with Mango Dipping Sauce, Toasted Coconut Lemon Ice Cream, or a good Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie. Toasted Coconut Chips are one of my favorite snacks to munch on throughout the day. Talk about YUM!

Coconut water also has medical benefits such as maintaining improving blood sugar levels, prevent kidney stones, and decrease liver fat.

People go coconuts for coconut oil- and for good reason. There is no exaggeration when we say coconut oil could be used for anything. You can apply it to your skin as a lotion and protection against UV rays or relieve skin irritation like eczema. You can even increase your metabolism while also decreasing  your food and hunger intake when you cook with coconut oil. Did you know that it can remove some of the toughest stains or even polish your furniture? Moms- you can cook, clean, and even treat yourself to a hair treatment with just a tub of coconut oil from your local grocery store. Who would've known?!
