Okay, what are superfoods and what do they do for our bodies?
Superfoods or 'power foods' are mostly nutritionally dense plant-based foods (with some exceptions including fish and dairy).
These superfoods are good for our health. And while they do not have their own food group these foods are 'super' nutritious for you. They contain various antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that offer many beneficial health factors. These foods may help fight off disease. If incorporated into a well-balanced diet, superfoods may reduce inflammation, boost the immune system, promote healthy weight management, heart health, improve energy levels, and reduce aging effects.
