3 Tips to Make Your Mornings Easier

Mornings, mornings. The alarm rings and it feels like I'm off to the races until the kids are out the door!

I'm guessing you can relate.

I've learned (admittedly the hard way) that with a little planning and prepping mornings can be more enjoyable and less like a mad dash. Here are my top 3 tips to making your mornings easier.

Make lunches the night before.

Make lunches the night before or prep what doesn’t need to be heated up. This alone creates a lot less craziness and more time in the morning.

Pick out clothes before bed.

My kids always pick out their clothes the night before. This saves lots of questions in the morning and gets them ready much faster.

Prep items needed for the morning. 

Make sure homework, snacks, books, masks, whatever the kids (and I!) need are all in the backpacks (and my bag) the night before. I always encourage this before my kids have any free time to play. This also teaches them to handle their responsibilities before having fun.

These tips have really helped to make my mornings easier. A pro tip is that I also set my coffee the night before to auto-brew the next morning. Waking up with caffeine definitely helps, too!
