Vitamin Supplements for Children
Do you give your kids vitamin supplements?
If not, should you be?
We get asked all the time if vitamin supplements are necessary for kiddos. Here's what Nutritionist Nancy Guberti had to say when we asked her.
Children need to get adequate amounts of calcium, iron, zinc, iodine, choline, and vitamins A, B6, B12, and D for strong bones and brain development in early life.
Vitamins are essential nutrients since they perform hundreds of roles in the human body, from bone health, healing wounds, and boosting one's immune system. Supplements even convert food into energy, fuel the mitochondria, and repair cellular damage.
Given the reality of jammed time-scheduled days, those well-rounded, home-cooked meals aren't always possible. We turn to vitamin supplements to fill in the gaps, especially for children who aren't eating well-balanced meals made from whole foods or picky eaters.
Vitamin supplements come in handy for the child with a chronic medical condition such as asthma or digestive issues, eating processed foods or vegan diet plans. In that case, vitamin supplements can be very beneficial.
Good nutrition plays a role in your child's learning and development. You can support your child's growing body with a healthy supplement containing Vitamins A, B, C, D, Calcium, and maybe even iron, depending on the child's needs.
Supplements are not all created the same as many end up having lots of sugar, especially the liquid and gummy versions. Talk with your child's doctor if you're concerned about whether your child is getting the recommended level of vitamins and minerals.
KidsLuv drinks are perfect because a single serving of KidsLuv is filled with the following goodness: Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and more! KidsLuv delivers the right mix of Sodium Calcium Citrate to ensure that your little ones are getting the added benefit of hydration with each sip. In a single serving of KidsLuv, you'll find 25mg of Potassium and 95mg of Calcium. And more importantly, KidsLuv Vitamins are VEGAN.
KidsLuv drinks truly taste better than any sugar-infused gummy. If you're concerned your child isn't getting the vitamins and minerals they need in their daily diet, consider supplementing with KidsLuv drinks!
Always discuss with your health care provider before starting any new food or supplement regimen.
